  PRINCE2 Foundation Course (2009)

Course Description

About PRINCE2

PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured method for effective project management. It provides a flexible method for the management of projects - each process is defined with its key "inputs" and "outputs", together with the specific activities to be carried out within that process. Like other project management methods, PRINCE2® divides a project into manageable stages, which enables an efficient control of resources and progress monitoring throughout the project.

Course Outcome

This course will enable participants to understand and appreciate why projects need to be managed. It will also help to demonstrate their understanding towards the various elements of PRINCE2. Finally to help assess their own projects in respect to what they have learnt. Delegates would be fully trained for the PRINCE2 Foundation examination. PRINCE2 Foundation Exam is a one-hour, multiple-choice, closed book examination testing the delegate's knowledge of PRINCE2 theory. Delegates need to score 50% or more to pass.

Pre-requisites

Eager to take up a challenge and some previous experience in a project environment would be beneficial. This might mean delegates are already managing projects and now require formal PRINCE2 training, or that they are perhaps involved in some form of project support activity.
